“waiting for the bread” - journey

Once, Carl Tassi, a drummer and vocalist here in Los Angeles, told me:

". . . you have the ability to find and express the calmness and depth of a

Zen garden in your visions of the mundane”

“Waiting for the Bread”

That’s Carl reflected in Waiting for the Bread’s toaster. It was one of those “happenstance” situations always seeming to appear when there are only a few shots left in the camera. In this particular case, Bread was captured right after the official end of his publicity shoot - at the very end of the last roll of film (old days?). Carl had been musing (reflecting?) about where his next paying gig - the “bread” - might come from, when I saw his image in the toaster. . .

Very quickly it became the cover photo on Carl’s CD - which also took its title from the image:

Since then, Waiting for the Bread, has taken me on a continuing journey of discovery and recognition . . .

Because of its history, Waiting for the Bread, while remaining an open-edition - as are all of my images - is only available as an exhibition print directly from me or through ArtPic.

It is priced somewhat higher than my other images: $550/$440, respectively, for either a 17.5” wide or a 14.5” wide print. Matting and framing are available at additional cost.

Please contact me directly with any questions or special requests.

Cheers,

Stan
